Basically internet service providers want to be connected to BT's infrastructure. But they think that the prices are to high as it's £1 per metre. They claimed it would be cheaper to run a seperate system alongside of it. What do you think they should do?
BT is a telecom company located in the UK that operates in much of the world. British internet service providers aren't too pleased with BT's pricing for channeling of the company's innovative broadband systems. In essence, the ISPs are fearing a monopoly by BT. So they request regulation from the government, which hasn't done anything yet. And BT responds by criticizing the companies' intentions and the factuality of their claims. It's a bunch of inter-industry drama that can potentially affect internet-using companies and individuals in the long run.
