3DS to be used as a controller for Wii2?

It's possible, considering Nintendo is also rumored to be mounting a touch-screen on the Wii 2 controller. They may be trying to move once again into merging their handheld and home console successes. The idea was somewhat half-heartedly attempted previously with the GBA for the GameCube, but didn't gain much popularity.

If it's true, I think it will be a flop. Handhelds and home consoles do well separately for one, largely have their own audiences, and the 3DS doesn't seem comfortable enough to be a controller either. I guess Nintendo is attempting to change gaming habits again.

Nintendo has been trying to do this ever since the SNES.
When they came out with a cartidge that you put in the slot, and you could put your GameBoy game in the snes cartridge. you couldplay your gameboy game on your TV :D it was great stuff too.

but i think this onewill completly fail... Nintendo is trying to hard to be good.

Back to the gamecube and gba - I have a game player for gamecube that plays gba game - but I dont use it because of my Wii

Touch screen on wii? That takes away the point of aiming at the screen. 3D wii would be awesome.

The Wii2 doesn't really exist. It's called project cafe and has nothing in common with the wii.
