I'm debating whether or not to pay for Gamefly [Netflix, but for video games]. I'd get the $16/month version, meaning I'd get one game at a time. I'm really more of a casual gamer, mainly because video games are not my biggest focus. I can finish a DS game in 4 days or more depending on the situation, but Wii games take a lot longer [at least two months].
Is it worth it for me? I'd like to hear your opinion.
Thanks.

ive never liked the idea of renting video games. it seems like a rip off to me, but I wouldnt know. I always like to actually own the videogames I play. its like that feeling of having material possesions.
Wheatly: Umm... False. Im going to have to go with False, although to be quite honest, I might have heard that one before.
As you define yourself as a casual gamer and I assume you are limited to DS and Wii, I don't recommend using GameFly. The average DS game is $30 (US), while the average Wii game is $40. Even with their "Keep" feature allowing you to pay more to retain the game, paying $15.99 every month only to rent a single game doesn't seem worth it. It might be a different story if you were renting PS3 or 360 games. There's also the issue of not receiving the game, defects, and other problems. So you're probably better off renting/purchasing at a local dealer, which offers simplicity with regards to returns.
(I personally never have trusted getting games/movies mailed to me anyhow.)
I suppose that's all true... I'm still considering it because as you said, $30 for DS game, $15/month. If I play them regularly (at night usually) I could save a ton of pocket money. Then again, if I did want to play it again...
The Wii games I'd lose some money on, so I'd get way more DS than Wii. But then there's still all the things you guys listed...
