First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who joined this Group for doing so, and point out that y'all have done a SUPERB job of behaving yourselves.
Because of that, I don't even think it's necessary for me to make these, TBH, but since the thought had occurred to me, I figured I'd go ahead and make them, regardless.
Now, the first thing I'd like to say, before I get to the actual "Rules/Guidelines", is that I'm going to be pretty loose about enforcing these, since y'all are my Friends.
I only Invite people who are unlikely to break these Rules, anyway, and I'm not going to punish anyone for simply making a mistake.
(We all make mistakes, after all.)
Hypothetically, though, if someone were to just blatantly ignore the Rules here, and it bothered another Member of this Group (including possibly myself), that's when there'd be an issue, and I may remove somebody from the Group.
I should also mention that I intend on applying these same Rules for Comments left on my Blogs, or on my Profile, and any Comments that violate them will be subject to immediate deletion, unless I have a compelling reason not to.
Anyway, without further ado, here are the Rules:
1. No Cussing
This mostly means avoiding "Strong Language", or racial slurs, or things along those lines.
"Mild Language" (like the kind of stuff they're allowed to use on over-the-air TV) won't necessarily be considered a violation of this Rule, unless done in excess, or used in highly offensive ways.
TBH, I'd only throw someone out of the Group for cussing if somebody cusses constantly, and it's getting on someone else's nerves (like my own, lol), and then I may be willing to do so.
2. No Bullying
This Group is supposed to be a Love Group, not a Hate Group, and I've only been inviting people who I think are nice, friendly people. (Almost all of whom I consider my personal Friends.)
If anybody here feels as though another Member of this Group is bullying them, it will be taken seriously.
(So will the accused, if they claim they are innocent, or didn't mean to do so, though.)
Everyone here should try to show respect for one another, and if I determine that somebody isn't doing that, and they don't correct their behavior (after being warned, and given sufficient time to do so), they will be removed from this Group.
(I intend to do whatever's necessary to maintain the current level of decency and civility here, although I will always try to look at both sides of all disputes.)
3. Keep it E-Rated (or at least T-Rated)
This is the most important Rule here, in my mind.
I understand this website has it's own Rules about things that are considered inappropriate, but my expectations here are more Conservative than theirs are.
I understand that there are M-Rated Blogs on this site (I even made one myself), but almost all of my Blogs thus far have been either E-Rated or T-Rated, with the majority of them being E-Rated.
Since this is my Group, I expect people to hold themselves to the same standards of decency I hold myself to here on Paint.
(At least, as long as they're Shouting in my Group, or Commenting on my Profile or on my Blogs, anyway.)
I've seen a number of rather concerning Blog Comments, and Shouts in other Groups, from certain Members of the Paint Community (none of whom I invited to this Group, BTW), which contained language that was arguably X-Rated.
(I'll let the Admins and Overlords determine whether or not such Comments or Shouts are inappropriate for this website for themselves, however.)
Any such Comments left on my Blogs, my Profile, or any other place I'm allowed to delete them, however, will be deleted immediately, unless they were left on an M-Rated Blog of mine, or something of that nature.
As for this Group, I'll issue a warning for 1st time offenders, and may be willing to show some leniency (depending upon the circumstances of the particular case), but there'll be swift removal from this Group, if I feel the issue isn't being addressed, and I'll obviously immediately delete any Shouts containing such things as soon as I see them.
I have no intention of being hypocritical, however, and I won't fault people for talking about Games, TV Shows, Movies, Books, etc., even if they have M-Rated (or even X-Rated) content.
(Especially in the case of Anime, as this Group is intended for Anime Fans to be able to talk about their interests.)
In cases like that, you can expect WAY more leniency than people just saying crude, offensive things without a legitimate reason.
Anyway, I think I covered everything I'd be concerned about with those Rules…
