If this is implemented, I think it may be necessary to add a note to search results saying that older Help Desk posts may not be accurate or applicable to current times. Rules are different, features are different, the sites worked in different ways, etc.
It's not necessarily a bad idea, and it would be nice for seeing how things used to be, but I personally think it would be better (in most cases) to ask the question instead, for a modern answer.
