Yeah, I'm trying to be pretty loose about this, especially considering they're gonna be Multi Battle Tournaments.
(It might be hard for everyone to find a Teammate.)
And according to Bulbapedia, every single Legendary Pokémon that's been a Game Mascot (meaning the ones I refer to as "Major Legendaries", although Suicune was the Mascot for Crystal, and IDK what Tier it is) is Uber Tier (which you said the Pseudo-Legendary Dragons, like Dragonite, Salamence, and Garchomp are, as well)
except
for Black Kyurem, which is (according to Bulbapedia) classified as OU Tier, rather than Uber.
IMO, that's crazy, and while I understand why it's that way (assuming that Bulbapedia is accurate), I don't agree with that Tier allocation, and I never will.
And yeah, I
can
access Smogon's Site, and I probably will, before I go mouthing off about their Tiering System again, lol!
(I'm pretty sure they've got a lot of interesting stuff on their Website, especially for a Hardcore Pokémon
Weeb
Fan like myself.)
And yeah, lol, Showdown is basically designed for Tournaments (and for Battling in general), so it'll definitely be a lot faster (and simpler) than all of this crazy Multi Battle stuff I'm trying to do, lol!
(Although it sucks how I won't be able to participate in that one.)

Yeah, I'll give everyone as long as they need to prepare, as I don't want
anyone
who wants to participate to be left out, or not get a chance to prepare.
(TBH, I'd be willing to wait several months, if I felt it was necessary.)
And yeah, I based my view of the Smogon Tiering System entirely upon Bulbapedia's Wiki Page on Pokémon Tiers, and was particularly bothered by the way Black Kyurem was classified.
(I'll never agree with that, but I
was
wrong to diss their entire Tiering System based on that one decision alone.)
And yeah, I'll definitely look into Smogon more, because they sound like my kinda people, actually.
(I even used their method for manually figuring out your SID in the Gen 3 and 4 Games, and have a Link to their Page on that in the External Links Page in my Group.)
And yeah, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to do a 5th Tournament on Showdown, and let Dedode handle it.
(Even though it wouldn't be a Multi Battle Tournament like the others, it'd still be Cool.)

Yeah, I'll have to figure that out before I start anything big like a Tournament, lol.
And yeah, I was definitely WAY too hard on Smogon, even though I'm still not a huge Fan of their Tiering System.
(I just prefer more Simplistic Rules, and more Complex Battles, that's all.)
And what about the Official VGC run by the Pokémon Company itself?
(That was the first kind of Pokémon Competition I ever heard about, before I even knew what Smogon was.)
And because of what you just said, I've decided I
will
be doing 4 Tournaments: a Gen 4 one, a Gen 5 one, a Gen 6 one, and a Gen 7 one.
(Even though I'm pretty sure most of the DSi users here have Gen 5, it's not like it hurts to add a Gen 4 Tournament into the mix.)
And yeah, leaving out Multi Battles (and Triple Battles, Rotation Battles, Battle Royals, and Inverse Battles) is kinda lame, IMO, but I still think Showdown is Cool.
(The way I see it is they've got plenty of room for improvement.)

Yeah, I tried it on my 2DS (meaning just doing a Connection Test in the DS Wi-Fi Settings Menu) earlier today, and it seemed my 2DS didn't do any better than my DS Lite on picking up on the Neighbors' Wi-Fi.
(Apparently it works differently than doing it in the 3DS Wi-Fi Settings.)
And yeah, I feel bad about dissing Showdown before, since it sounds pretty freaking Cool, really.
(Then again, I was just frustrated about you criticising that questionable Tiering System of mine at the time, which is why I said what I did back then.)
And alrighty, although checking the list of Banned Pokémon at the PWT should work, as well.
(As long as it's a Gen 5 Tournament, anyway.)
I've actually been thinking about it, and perhaps I should do 3 (or if necessary, 4) separate Tournaments: A Gen 5 one, a Gen 6 one, and a Gen 7 one.
(I'm not sure a Gen 4 one would be necessary, but that's a possible 4th one to be considered, as well.)
If I did that, I could still do a Multi Battle Tournament, and everyone could be included.
I'd even allow those of us with multiple Generations of Games to participate in 2, or even all 3 (or 4) of the Tournaments, although I'm still not sure how I'd combine them all together.
(There may be no way to do that, in which case there'd simply be 3 or 4 separate Tournaments, each with their own respective Winning Teams.)
IDK, I'm still just Brainstorming, but considering that Showdown isn't Multi Battle compatible, I'll either have to do something like that, or do a Single or Double Battle Tournament, instead.
(Unless I'm overlooking something, anyway.)
