Love is patient; love is kind
Love develops overtime
Love is trusting, love is true
And it comes from both of you
But sometimes, love is not fair
Especially when temptations near
Sometimes your soul, it will shake
And cause your heart to crack and break
Some try to be whom or what they are not
They curse; they dress different, and they try to be "hot"
They believe love will come, but love isn't blind
It can see through a mask and tell what they've left behind
Love is not selfish
It does not seek one thing
It doesn't think of what it can gain
Just of what it can bring
Love does not judge
If it did, how could it be true
There is one requirement for true love
And that's just to be you
Love has many ways to be described
Wonderful, majestic, and has been inscribed
On the souls of many that have done their part
But here is the most important fact about love
It comes from the heart!
this is a play-off of an already published poem. i like the contrasts placed within the contrasts. i do not know if you did those unknowingly or not but this is one superb poem:]!!
