By HexiDecimator (346)I would like to see more picturs of shiny stuff. I've uploaded images of gold, silver, pewter, copper, gallium, and brass. We need more platinum, palladium, uranium, and gemstones. If I have left out something shiny on this list, feel free to add it. Shiny stuff is awesome because is reflects the depth in 3D photos very well.

So it seems there really is not a set guide line for the 3D Photo Gallery, and most people are either too young, or too dumb to have some sort of common sense when it comes to these things, so..here is a list of things I and I am sure the other two to three photomins do not want to see continuiously on our gallery. Be warned, sarcasm is heavy throughout this whole thing, if you do not understand sarcasm, or think I am being a total douche, you are mistaken and the sarcasm is an added plus to liven this horribly long and tedious post.
1-Drawings- Since it says quite clearly up at top of the page, 3d PHOTO Gallery and NOT 3D Drawing Gallery, I am sure this is common sense. Yet, I delete the same drawings multiple times, with no avial. The deal is, the word photo is short for photography, which is the action of taking a picture with a camera, nowhere in that word is drawing, so..there should be no reason for drawings to be in the gallery. Pretty simple. Also see number three.
2-2D Pictures- It was now fixed that you cannot upload a two dimensional picture, but alas, there are always ways to get around everything, and when a person wants to post a 'OMG LUK AT MI I M SO UGLI" pic for all of thier BFFs to see, they will find a way. Heres the deal, we can tell. Just because you put bulge effects, or one simple heart in the upper left hand corner it does NOT make it a three dimensional photo, it is still technically a two dimensional photo and will get deleted immediatley. Yes, there are pictures that people worked soooooo hard on using the bulge tool, but again, it was still a 2D picture to begin with.
3-3D Photos of your 2D drawings- Seriously? Do I really even have to explain this? I mean how does tha...no, I am not even going there. If you want to post your drawings, there is an AMAZING website called Deviant Art, I hear they allow pictures of your artwork, and check this out..people will even comment on them, and best of all, you can actually link your Deviant Art page in your profile so EVERYONE can see, cool huh?
4-Screenshots- As of right now, I believe only three games allow the taking of in game screenshots, those games are Nintendogs, Pilotwings, and Mario 3DS (which are postcards that everyone opens up, so they are not really unique). If I see screenshots from other games chances are they are going to get deleted, here is why. Nine times out of ten they were snagged from another website, or they were games that were being played on either a pc or a televison, and you snapped a picture of it. The ones from the other websites is a no-brainer, since well, these are not your property, and you did not take them, but the ones that you took from a screen..Those..arent going to be 3D are they? Yea, did not think so. And using the bulge tool on them still makes them a 2D picture.
5-Facebook/Myspace pics- While I honestly do not care less about these, and usually I just make fun of them and show my dog these pictures so he can fart on my 3DS screen in disapproval, I would like to only say one thing about these..Do not go overboard with them, I really honestly do not mind one, possibly two of what I like to call the OMG LUK AT MI, RTE ME, I M SO UGLI" picture, but when your WHOLE gallery is nothing but those pics, that is just out of hand. Here is the deal, you have a 250 (fine 160 for those that got it after the price drop) dollar three dimensional camera sitting in your hands, I assume you people are not that self absorbed enough and have a broadened imagination to take something other than pictures or yourself in the same "Facebook Face" style over and over. Seriously you have a 3D camera, make use of it, go outside and take pictures of things that are not of yourself.
Here is a list of what I would LOVE to see more of.
1- Foreign places- I understand most of you are kids, but what I mean as foreign places are, places that are different from the everyday things we see. Do you have a treehouse in your backyard that has an amazing veiw of the garbage dump? Take a picture of it, seriously a lot of people have never seen things like that before. Do you take your animals wether it be a dog, turtle, polar bear, or manatee out for a walk? Snap pictures of the grass your animal is about to poop on before they actually poop on it. Its little things like that that make having a 3D camera so awesome, you can totally be creative with the depths, and angles of the landscapes you take pictures of.
2- Objects..Lots of objects- Objects make amazing 3D subjects, well unless those objects are two dimensional objects, then that really wouldnt work, but look around your house, find that one object that you would never use ever, but looks super cool (no, not the one in your mothers drawer, that is off limits) use those objects in some kind of three dimensional diorama. There used to be a user on here, and I believe he still does it every now and then, but he would make some Lego stuff and take pictures of them at random angles to really show off the depth and perception of each Lego item he made, which really was amazing to see.
3- Imagination..I cannot stress this one enough. Like I said above, you have a 200 dollar three dimensional camera, use it to your full advantage. Use the brain that is on top of your head to create something amazing.
A while back I had started a 3D Photo contest every other week, I stopped because of two things, firstly I got sick, and had to postpone one of the contests, which only one person entered anyway, and it was a bunk entry, and secondly..well there really wasnt a secondly, in fact it was my fault, so..to rectify that, starting Feb 1st, I am going to restart the photo contest up again, there will be a blog about it, and I hope yalls enter.
