@Tycoon: -.-', Charities won't help the economy, as they are Tax-Exempt. Christ, even I know that... Do I need to point out how much past Presidents have spent?
I think that he has a good shot. I can assure you, not many Chicagoans are gonna support a money-hungry spider called Sarah Palin. Plus, the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act is going quite well here, we have a new Metra station, and some of our 100+y/o bridges are being re-built. Most of our arterial roads are better off, too. I'm not exactly sure about anything else, though.
No racial, but I think people are going to act different after obama is done with his four years and think "Well there you go you had your black president, now we go back to the usual republicans."
@Ici: *Hillary *Clinton. I don't know honestly, I never got a chance to watch the Candidate-Elections. I'd rather be shot by a cartel than live with a moron as President.
@Link: He's lowered our Foreign Oil Dependency.
@Blood: Clinton[Bill] lowered the Unemployment Rate to an All-Time low, and reduced the National Debt to a similar extreme. Then, Bush[Dubya] came in, screwed us, rigged a 2nd Election by not allowing the Votes of California to count, as Mexicans had a majority there, and started to Oil Wars.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
Why did the hobo's vote for Obama? because they wanted change... o-O
obama should spend that billion trying to pay off americas debts to other countries. America is over a trillion dollers in debt to other countries. if everyone in the us gave the government ten thousand dollers, america would still be in debt. so why waist any money on a campaign
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.
Yes, Obama has just recently officially started his 2012 re-election campaign.
But that's a good question. The circumstances are very apparently different from 2008, where his mindset of "hope" appealed to many Americans tired of the Bush administration. Now, Obama actually has some executive experience under his belt, though even with such moves as the stimulus package and the healthcare bills, his approval rating has been steadily decreasing, lingering beneath 50% for quite a while. The whole recession and the fact that unemployment is still jumping around probably is discouraging to those who believed that recovery would come quicker, so that attributes to it as well.
It's interesting that the Republicans haven't begun their bid for the presidency yet, but very likely that they're biding their time--not wanting to repeat their '08 conflicts and the disappointing McCain campaign. Definitely expect names to be thrown in the hat soon. Until there is a clear GOP nominee, I can't say one way or the other.
@Blood: and, the bigotry begins. So, it doesn't matter that he did indeed improve areas of the Nation, due to the fact that he bought a company? That, is the deciding factor, which determines what he has and has not done? Think of that.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
I give up. You people are just focusing on what he has done with the national debt, so be it. All I ask is that there be no "Newt Gingrich for 2012" campaign ads next year...
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
