I'm annoyed with go green people. First of all we are living in a interglacial period! And the next Ice Age could happen any time, it's been 10,000 years since the last one. So we should emit MORE green house gasses. That we we stay safe from the next Ice Age!
And on tthe other hand, nuclear power is clean. Not to many die from it! Aand incidents are rare! SO WHY ARE GREENIES AGAINST THAT?
Either let us go nuclear, and suffer the next Ice Age.
Or let everyone emit more and more greenhouse gasses!
So drive a lot folks!

Well what can I say we're in the recession but this is the worst it's ever been. Our money that's supposed to be going towards gas is going to the government and their needs for the service. They spend so much money on their weapons and armor. It's ridiculous. They are putting this all on theirselves for the causes of war. Just like how they killed Bin Laden. They caused more problems. We shouldn't be paying this much for gas no wonder why there aare so many smart cars these days.
@Syed: Hmm... While I hate being targeted by them on my way to classes, and you do raise a good-ish point...
Nuclear accidents happen due to lock-of maintenance and standards. The Byron Nuclear Plant, in Illinois, here, has had many problems, and is on a major fault line. Come to think of it, half of Illinois is, including all of Chicago. But, back to the topic. You're saying that incidents happen rarely, major incidents do. But the smaller-scale incidents happen a lot more with these older plants. So, that's my main problem with Nuclear. Only the big-issues get tackled, and yet the other 3 shut-down plants[Dresden-1, Zion-1 and Zion-2,] haven't even been sterilized and cleaned, or "decommissioned".
Again, my quarrel with Nuclear power, in these times.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
I highly doubt we'll be in another ice age, Syed. The way this planet is, the next ice age will probably if an asteroid crashes into the Earth, causing the Earth to spin off it's revolution, thus making the temperature fall below-zero.
Wow, did I just predict a world apocalypse?

In my state, gas prices are roughly $3.00/gallon but still rising. I'm not quite sure why the gas prices are going up, but I think it's because we get our oil from the places near or in Saudi Arabia. I guess it might cost a lot to ship the gas across the ocean and with the war it slows down the shipping of the gas even further. If this is the case, I think we should use the natural resources in our country or use electric cars instead.
In Alberta Canada, we have it a bit cheaper as we're swimming in the oil reserves at the moment (though I sleep spund at night being assured that it wont last forever...) so gas prices here today (june 5th) are only up to 1.12 I do believe, still pricey... something our social teacher brings up with gas is 'the magic number' what price is gas going to reach up to before we really change our ways in terms of the gas consumption and means of transportation. Gas sky rocketed up to 1.30-1.40 not too long ago in our past and nothing really changed then but our anger.
