6am in which time zone? It's already past 6am on the east side of the world and they aren't dead. It's not going to happen. These people who made it up are either crying out for attention or are schizophrenic.
my entire school has been talking bout it for weeks. makeing jokes etc. like some people are sayin stuff like "what if they're the only ones who die" or "well, once the world doesnt end, its guna give atheiests room to gloat and stuff"
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.
This is a prediction issued and spread by Harold Camping, an 89 year-old "Christian" fringe radio broadcaster well known for his doomsday reveling. To clarify on his theory, he actually believes that the Rapture, when all Christians are spirited to Heaven, will occur on Saturday, May 21, 2011. He refuses to recognize recurring Biblical principles of the Christ coming like a "thief in the night", while using spotty numerology from passages and obscure Biblical numbers to supposedly accurately predict the end of the world. He has predicted dates several times in the past, and has...apparently been wrong every single time. Loyal followers and blind media hordes alike sincerely believe him despite such past failures. Other leaders in the Christian community tend to mark his ideas as off the wall, and often label him as a false prophet.
I personally believe he is delusional, and possibly even senile. Why would the Bible purposely contradict itself by saying that Christ's return is unpredictable, yet offer a secret code that reveals the date of the world's end? He's grasping at things that do not exist. There is no value in a crazy man's ramblings.
Everyone at my school was talking about this since last week. I just can't believe how crazy some people can be. The next time I'll wake up, I'll be fine.
Here is a conversation I just had earlier.
"Oh, so when do some people think the world will end?"
"May 21, 6 a.m."
"What time zone?"
"No one told me."
"Okay... so it will happen to the people that live in the east first. Haha... I just couldn't believe this garbage!"
@Lim Well said, mate. I'd prefer loons like him not to push his fringe ideas forward to the public as if it is representative of what the whole, or even the majority, of Christians believe, when in fact, his contingent of believers is small, and for good reason.
It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.
If I can quote a Minister, or Priest, or... Someone from my paper, they said that "Men like Camping tend to project their beliefs into the Bible, instead of learning what it truly has to offer."
I actually agree with that random person.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
