So it's okay to shove religion down a childs throat but not abortion?
First a fetus has no power nor thoughts. So why not abort.
Pro-Choice because you lot are no one to decide for one another. Pro-Choice because it can save you, and how you live. Pro-Choice because a fetus isn't born, why trouble it when he/she is born.
My ideal life; Living to the fullest, having fun, and geeking on a linux box.
@Dude: What proof do you have, then? Adoption Centers are not capable of handling every non-aborted child. And if people can't get by the fact that homosexuals make just as good parents, then what? Give me a logical answer.
Furthermore, quit quoting what they angrily preach to anyone walking by.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
I'm pro-life because even if the mother doesn't want the baby for any reason there are many women who may want to adopt a baby. When a mother aborts an unborn baby, they may feel emotionally torn over what they had done. There are centers for support to mothers who are emotionally broken. We need to stop abortion before they make the wrong choice. Plus, the baby doesn't have a say whether they would like to die or not.The point is abortion is clearly wrong because you're not letting the baby have a chance for life.
By definition it's not a baby. And it's pretty hard to give something that can't think or talk a choice. It's better to get it aborted before it's self-aware then to have it be totally aware and have it end up being unloved/abused/living in poor conditions. The adoption argument is pretty weak, besides there are PLENTY of babies needing to be adopted already. People get abortions because they don't want to have a baby. And you say that women can get "emotionally broken" from getting an abortion, but you don't think that women who give their baby up for adoption don't think about their baby and regret giving it up sometimes too?
Another thing to consider: Pets/animals are "put to sleep" every day when there are health problems, or if they can't be cared for. Those pets are alive. But apparently abortion is worse? I fail to see how. And I'm not that I'm anti-"putting pets to sleep" before somebody thinks that's what I'm saying.
And it doesn't exactly matter how the fetus is killed, because they don't feel "pain" during the time abortions are done, at least I don't think so. And those ads are mostly fake, or exaggerated to scare you. I don't think they have to "take the limbs off" unless you wait very late to get an abortion and it's quite big.. earlier on they have other solutions.
@Emblem
While many mothers want to adopt instead of go through painful labor, our orphanages are already packed tight. Couldn't they adopt those children?
Goodbye my only friend. Oh, did you think I meant you?
Since I already made a blog over this topic, so my opinion is well known.
Basically, I don't like pro-choice much since the argument that "the mother has the choice" to decide that the baby has no future, a lack of choice. Honestl, both sides have counterarguments for just about any point either side makes, so I generally refrain from posting in threads like these.
It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.
Yet, you posted in a Thread like this.[couldn't resist]
@Emblem: Actually, it's quite quick and easy, when compared to carrying an 18lb [ideally] mass offlesh around for 9 months. As stated above, general practice basically involves vaccuuming out the Cervix.[if I remember correctly]
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
@Tanya: -.-... To be a jackass, I'd like to start by pointing out the baby HAS no shoes. Second, they can't "feel" the abortion, as most nerve-endings have not developed yet. Third, well, sorry if that's how you were conceived, but guess what? That story doesn't apply to everyone. I'm not forcing others to go Pro-Choice, but Pro-Life supporters constantly rally and bombard mothers-to-not-be with "incriminating evidence" which is actually quite one-sided. It all comes down to opinion, just like every other hot-topic issue. I'm quite glad that Illinois has kept its "Bubble-Zone" Laws in action, which prevents ro-Life Supporters to protest or come into contact with people entering or leaving the abortion clinic within a 25 foot radius... Or it might have been 15.
