Bull. Human sacred of wilderness. Snakes big cats and spiders can kill a human.
They may "control" more land, but flies directly benifit from the actions of humans such as growing crops, dumping trash, releasing feces, etc. Humans do not benifit from the actions of flies, and have failed to exterminate them.
But to the average person, they are just pests. Humans have exterminated entire populations of deadly microbes, but flies still live on. Smallpox? Gone. Flies? Still Alive.
