I don't believe that the world will end on 2012 but I do think alot of natural disasters will happen then. A good example of this is all the tsunamis, earthquakes etc. that have happened over the past decade. One natual disaster per year (last year was Haiti, this year being Japan & Spain)
The 2012 film though went tottally overboard with their imaginations.
