I'm pretty sure they're ending the DS series for now. Any comeback would probably be in something like the Mini series, the way I see it.

You can draw one with the 3DSPaint painting tools. Once saved, it'll be selectable on the Settings page.

after you draw something, you can choose it as your avatar in settingsss
